What is Embers & Aura?

Embers & Aura is a family-run artisan brand offering hand-twined textiles, curated suncatchers, botanical goods, décor pieces, and small-batch apothecary items. Each collection is created with attention to detail, quality materials, and a focus on atmosphere, texture, and meaningful design.

Where are you located?

We are based in the DFW Metroplex (Texas). All handmade textile items and curated goods ship from our studio.

Do you handmake everything?

All rugs, runners, and many artisan pieces are handcrafted in our studio. Other items—such as candles, prints, suncatchers, crystals, and select accessories—are carefully curated from trusted suppliers whose work aligns with our aesthetic. As our collections continue to grow, some candles, apothecary items, and additional artwork may also be created in-house.

Do you offer gift wrapping?

At this time, we do not offer gift wrapping. Many items ship in simple, clean, gift-ready packaging, and you may include a gift note at checkout.

If I’m local to the DFW area, do you offer hand delivery?

We currently ship all orders through standard carriers. Local hand delivery is not available at this time, though we may explore it in the future depending on demand.

SHIPPING & DELIVERY

How long does shipping take?

Orders typically ship within 2–4 business days. Delivery times vary by carrier and usually arrive within 3–7 business days within the U.S.

Do you offer international shipping?

At this time, we ship within the United States only.

How much is shipping?

Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on the weight and destination of the order.

Will I receive tracking information?

Yes. Tracking details are sent by email once your order ships.

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

Do you accept returns?

If an item arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days so we can make it right.
Most unused items in their original condition may be returned within 14 days. Some items—such as apothecary goods or simmer pot kits—are final sale.

Can I exchange an item?

Exchanges are handled case-by-case depending on inventory availability.

What do I do if my order arrives damaged?

Please contact us promptly with photos of the item and packaging so we can assist with a replacement or refund.

PRODUCT CARE & MATERIALS

How do I care for hand-twined rugs and runners?

Spot clean with mild detergent and cold water. Air dry flat. Avoid machine washing to preserve structure and longevity.

Do your rugs work on all floor types?

Yes. For smooth surfaces, we recommend pairing rugs with a non-slip pad.

What materials do you use?

Materials vary by piece. Many textiles use upcycled cotton, fleece, T-shirt knits, or flannel. Each product listing includes a materials section.

CANDLES, APOTHECARY & BOTANICAL GOODS

Are your apothecary items natural?

Our apothecary pieces are small-batch and made with carefully selected ingredients. Full ingredient lists are provided on each product page. We do not make medical or therapeutic claims.

Are your candles coconut soy?

Yes. Our curated candles use coconut-soy blends with clean-burning wood wicks.

How do I care for wood-wick candles?

Trim the wick to approximately 1/4 inch before each use. Burn on a stable surface and never leave unattended.

How should I use simmer pot kits?

Add contents to a small pot with water and keep on low heat. Do not leave simmering unattended.

SUNCATCHERS, CRYSTALS & DECOR

Do your suncatchers create rainbows?

Many of our suncatchers produce soft rainbows or reflections when placed in direct sunlight.

Can suncatchers be hung in cars?

Many mini suncatchers work well as car décor, but laws vary by state. Some states restrict items hanging from the rear-view mirror if they obstruct the driver’s view. We recommend checking local regulations and ensuring that any hanging décor does not interfere with visibility or safe driving.

Are crystal pieces natural?

Yes. Natural variation in tone, pattern, and shape is expected and adds to the character of each piece.

Can I bend or adjust crystal tree branches?

Branches may be adjusted gently. Avoid excessive bending to preserve wire integrity.

RUGS & TEXTILES

Do rugs slip?

Some rugs may shift on smooth floors. A non-slip rug pad is recommended if needed.

Are your rugs durable?

Hand-twined construction creates a flexible, substantial texture designed for everyday use. Spot cleaning is recommended.

SAFETY & AGE GUIDANCE

Are your suncatchers safe for children?

Suncatchers contain small parts and hanging wire. They are decorative items and not toys.

Are candles and incense safe around children or pets?

Use with care. Keep all open flames away from children, pets, and flammable materials. Never leave burning items unattended.

What ages are your games suitable for?

Murder of Crows: 14+
Once Upon a Time: around 10+, depending on family preferences.

Do you offer wholesale?

Not at this time.

Do you accept custom rug or color palette requests?

Limited custom work may be available depending on materials and scheduling. Please reach out to discuss availability.
